Hop empanadas

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp de Extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup de Water
- 1 de Chopped garlic clove
- 1 tbsp de Sugar
- 1 units de Chopped chives
- 410 grs de Hop
- 3 1/4 cup de Wheat flour
- 1 units de Egg
- 6 tbsp de Vegetable lard
- 12 tbsp de Butter without salt
- 1 pinch de Pepper
- 100 gr de Grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 pinch de Salt
Preparation
Filling
- Heat the oil over medium heat in a pan.
- Sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Add hearts of palm hearts, mozzarella cheese, salt and pepper. Lay aside.
Dough
- Mix flour, salt and sugar in a food processor. Add vegetable shortening and butter.
- Remove the dough from the processor, form a ball and wrap with plastic. Refrigerate for one hour.
- Stretch the dough to obtain a uniform thickness of 3-4 mm and with a dough cutter of 10 cm in diameter, cut round shapes. Place a spoonful of filling in the center.
- Wet the edges of the dough, fold and close. Paint the empanadas with the egg and bake for 15 to 20 min. until they are golden.
